Yaki Udon

Udon, beef, and vegetables pressure-cook together for just 2 minutes, then get tossed in a savory sauce and topped with bonito flakes and egg.

Ingredients

  • 1 serving udon noodles
  • 2–3 handfuls beef short plate (beef belly)
  • Cabbage, to taste
  • Green onions, carrots, onion
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 3 eggs
  • Bonito flakes, for topping
  • 1.5 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon mirin
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon syrup
  • A pinch of black pepper

Instructions

1Sliced beef short plate in the multi-pot

Place the beef short plate in the multi-pot.

2Udon, cabbage, vegetables, and sauce added to the pot

Add the udon, cabbage, chopped vegetables, garlic, and all the sauce ingredients.

3Lid closed on the pressure cooker

Close the lid and pressure cook (high) for 2 minutes, then quick release. Fry or soft-boil the eggs separately while it cooks.

4Yaki udon tossed and topped with bonito flakes and egg

Mix well so the sauce coats the noodles, plate it, and top with bonito flakes and the eggs.
