Chicken wings, eggs, and broccoli all steam and crisp in one covered pan, then get tossed in a garlicky soy-agave glaze.

35 min · easy

Ingredients

  • 14 chicken wings (350g)
  • 5 tablespoons oil (olive oil works)
  • 5 tablespoons potato starch
  • Salt and pepper
  • Eggs and broccoli, to steam alongside
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 4 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 4 tablespoons cooking wine
  • 3 tablespoons agave syrup
  • Toasted sesame seeds, to finish

Instructions

1Oil and potato starch mixed in a frying pan

Mix the oil and potato starch in a frying pan.

2Chicken wings seasoned and spread out in the pan

Add the chicken wings, season with salt and pepper, mix well, and spread them out evenly.

3Eggs and broccoli in a steamer basket over the chicken

Place a strainer with the eggs and broccoli on top, close the lid, and cook over medium-low heat for 20 minutes.

4Crispy finished chicken wings set aside

Remove the lid, eggs, and broccoli. Flip the wings and cook 10 more minutes over medium-high heat until crispy, then set aside.

5Garlic soy sauce glaze simmering in the pan

Add the garlic, soy sauce, cooking wine, and agave syrup to the pan and simmer slightly.

6Chicken tossed in the glaze and plated with rice, egg, and broccoli

Turn off the heat, toss the chicken in the sauce, and sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds.
