Pad thai with egg, peanuts, and green onions in a rice cooker
Ricecooker Recipe

Pad Thai

Rice noodles, egg, and bean sprouts pressure-cook together in one pot for a pad thai that’s ready in under 10 minutes.

Rice cooker 8 min · easy

Ingredients

  • 1 serving pre-soaked rice noodles
  • Protein of choice (beef brisket, chicken tenderloin, shrimp, etc.)
  • Oil
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 0.5 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp fish sauce
  • Minced garlic
  • Hot sauce, to taste
  • A generous handful of bean sprouts
  • A handful of garlic chives
  • 2 eggs
  • Chopped green onions, crushed peanuts, and lemon juice, to finish

Instructions

1Pre-soaked rice noodles topped with rolled beef brisket in the rice cooker

Add the pre-soaked rice noodles and your protein of choice to the pot, drizzle with oil, and mix well to keep the noodles from sticking.

2Bean sprouts added on top of the noodles and protein

Add the seasoning (sugar, soy sauce, oyster sauce, fish sauce, minced garlic, hot sauce) and a generous handful of bean sprouts, then pressure cook on Multi-Steam for 5 minutes.

3Egg cracked on top of the noodles with garlic chives

Add the garlic chives, mix quickly, crack 2 eggs on top, and pressure cook on Multi-Steam for another 2-3 minutes.

4Chopsticks lifting a tangle of finished pad thai noodles from the pot

Finish with chopped green onions, crushed peanuts, and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice.

Tip. Set the timer for longer than you need (10 minutes) and just cancel it early once your cook time is up – it’s faster than resetting the mode each time.
