Oatmeal Sandwich (Oatmeal Wrap)

No tortilla needed — oatmeal and egg form the base, filled with whatever you’ve got in the fridge.

15 min · easy

Ingredients

  • 3 generous tablespoons of oatmeal
  • A little water
  • 2 eggs
  • Everything bagel seasoning or sesame seeds (optional)
  • Fillings – ham, greens, tomato, cheese, ketchup

Instructions

1Oatmeal spread across the non-stick pan

Scatter 3 generous tablespoons of oatmeal onto a non-stick pan.

2Water sprinkled over the oatmeal

Lightly sprinkle with a little bit of water.

3Two eggs cracked and spread over the oatmeal

Crack 2 eggs over it and gently spread them out.

4Everything bagel seasoning sprinkled on top

Sprinkle with everything bagel seasoning or sesame seeds. (optional)

5Ham, lettuce, tomato, and cheese arranged on one half

Flip it over, add your sandwich fillings (ham, greens, tomato, cheese, ketchup), and fold it.

6Finished folded oatmeal sandwich in the pan

Done — golden, crisp on the outside, melty in the middle.

Tip. Adding cheese at the very end helps act as a “glue” to keep it held together.

Fun fact. A few Indonesian followers said this reminded them of kerak telor, a traditional Betawi egg-and-rice street food — worth trying if you like this one.
