Microwave Recipe
Miso Tofu Cream Pasta
The spaghetti cooks right in the microwave — no pot of boiling water — then gets tossed with a silken tofu-miso sauce.
Ingredients
- 1 serving spaghetti (100g)
- 250ml water
- A pinch of salt
- A little minced garlic
- 180g silken tofu
- 1/2 tablespoon miso paste
- 1 tablespoon tsuyu
- 1 tablespoon parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon whole sesame seeds
- A piece of butter
- Green onions, shredded nori, shio kombu, an egg yolk, and black pepper, to finish
Instructions
1

Place the spaghetti, water, salt, and garlic in a microwave-safe container. Microwave for 10 minutes (in two 5-minute intervals, using a deep container so it doesn’t boil over).
2

Mix the silken tofu, miso paste, tsuyu, parmesan, and sesame seeds together to make the sauce.
3

Once the spaghetti is cooked, add the butter and toss well (the sauce will thicken as it sits, even if a little water remains).
4

Pour the sauce over the pasta and mix thoroughly. Top with green onions, nori, shio kombu, an egg yolk, and black pepper.
